Phased daily backup purge
The backups for each site profile run daily, so I always have a 30 day rolling pool of backups for each site profile to tap if I need them. If I delete a site profile in my MWP interface, I apparently loose all my backups for the profile. This has caused difficulty in the past. Instead, whenever a site profile is deleted in the MWP interface, leave the profile intact, flagged as 'deleted' (maybe shaded or requires an extra click to view) but the backups tab (on the left) remains accessible and as each day passes the number of available…

A "Download Staging Backup" option before pulling from live site.
It would be nice to have the option to create a one-time backup of the staging site for download only so users can have a backup if they need to revert the staging site.

change published url for target site
I was asked to come here, but this is a complaint, I asked for a name or customer services contact that I could speak to after 3 days of frustration.
Being sent to a forum just adds to the frustration.
I have been a vps server customer for several years, paying $100+ a month, for a Wordpress site, I've been forced to upgrade the package several times, through lack of disk space or this reason or that, all of which has felt a bit odd as my site is Wordpress, simple with all media stored on Amazon S3, so why…

2 factor authorization for MWP and user management
Your supoort told me you dont have 2 factor auth possibility when logging into MWP at Liquid.
This is a serious risk, since then it is merely a simple password to get in, and the possibility to damage or destroy the site.
-> I want Liquid to implement a better user management, where you can set up passwords, persmissions etc, for several users aswell as 2 factor auth, to increase security.
I'd regard this as an urgent thing to do

Automatic reset of PHP process when maxed out
REcently we noticed that our site was unaccessible. I turned to Liquids-chatt to ask why.
They said that our PHP process was maxed ut, thus making the site not respond. So they reset the PHP process and site started working again. Here's my problem:
1) Why dont Liquid Web get notified about PHP being maxed out automatically? I should not have to login, start chatt to tell you guys that somethings wrong. Instead, when that happens, you should have warning systems that lets you know that this happened and then resetting the PHP.
2) When this happens, and you are…1 vote -
Woo Commerce Subscriptions Issue
When updating a staging site from a production site, the staging site is not inheriting the flag that tells WC Subscriptions that it's now on a different URL, and that it should disable itself to avoid duplicate charges for customers. This functionality is built into WC Subscriptions, and has worked correctly on other hosting platforms I've used.

localhost hostname
PLEASE allow WP Database hostnames to just be "localhost" rather than a path. The only thing preventing me from moving 150 websites to Liquid web is the fact that most are ecommerce sites that require QuickBooks syncing and QB doesn't all "/" in the host address...

Ability to submit/add A Record
We have an internal domain with the same external website name. While this is not best practice, the general work around would be to have an alias/a record in DNS to re-direct the traffic. In the case of Liquid Web, although they accept both www and non-www requests, they strip any www request and direct it to it's non-www domain. This is where the problem exists for my website.

specify pages for visual comparison tool
It would be great to have the ability to define special pages that are used for comparison. Usecase: there are fragile pages that break easily.
5 votesThanks for taking the time to suggest this. We can see how this would be helpful for your given use case. That said, we have taken this under consideration for the future and will be sure to report back here if it’s released as a feature.

Add an warning that enabling PASSWORD PROTECTION may break cron jobs.
I had enabled PASSWORD PROTECTION on a site I was testing and went back and forth a bit with support on why my cron jobs wasn't working. After a few days finally found out that password protection will break cron jobs since they can loop back to the site. While that's understandable it should be a warning, it also makes it nearly impossible to test development of plugins without use of a cron, so a work around or solution for this would be good since it's advertised as "This can be especially useful during site development."

Single Dashboard for All Plans
Flywheel (where I moved from) combines multiple MWP servers into one single dashboard. With 60 accounts at Liquid Web, now I have to manage two separate logins. I don't need a 100-site plan at this time. This isn't a huge deal, but it is inconvenient for me and for those working for me.

Don't rewrite embeded images when creating a staging site
When embeding images from a third party site (e.g. Amazon S3) and you create a staging site, all images break. This makes the site kind of unusable if off load plugins are being used.

Offer protection for wp-admin and wp-login
For managed wordpress, please consider implementing a feature where you can add a basic auth password on wp-admin/login easily from the managed wordpress portal.
A simple nginx conf file and htpasswd file would do the trick.
It's nice to have a second password on these.
3 votesThanks for taking the time to suggest this! We agree that it would be helpful to have this functionality and we are planning to offer it in the future. Once this is available, we’ll be sure to report back here.
In the meanwhile, we recommend this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/password-protected/
We hope this helps!

View Advanced Error Log When Changing Primary Domain Fails
Rather than just vaguely saying there was an issue, it would be really nice to optionally choose to see the exact reason a primary domain has reverted.
If there was an advanced error log that could be seen, that would make it easier to use this platform as a system technician, as opposed to running to the Live Chat any time something goes wrong.
2 votesThank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us. We agree that this would improve the experience and we’re taking it under consideration for a future update. We’ll be sure to post back here with progress notes. Thanks again!

Domain Update UX Checklist
There are a number of steps required before updating a domain for the managed wordpress sites.
If there was some sort of confirmation before updating, that required you to ensure your changes have been made, then people unfamiliar with the process would be able to avoid the issues that come if you pre-emptively change the domain, before the DNS A record has changed for example.
This would also serve as a helper to know what steps are required before updating the domain.
Alternatively the domain change could skip the DNS check as shown here: https://liquidweb.uservoice.com/forums/909214-managed-wordpress/suggestions/33228178-manged-wordpress-allow-primary-domain-changes-wi

Customize response time for plugin updater tool
i get 30 emails a night saying "plugin update failed for xyz website" (one for each website on my server). when i go into an install to review the plugin updates, the issue is that the tool is not letting the website load fully before comparing, so the sliders and other visual things looks different enough to trigger the failure. how can we get the system to actually let the page load all the way first before comparing? there is no real issue 100% of the time so far that I have checked, it's just not letting the page load…

Don't put sensitive files in world readable folders
During a "manual" migration the wp-config.php from my old site was renamed to wp-config.php.orig, and left in the html folder, meaning it was publicly viewable to anyone.
PLUS, a database dump was performed and left in the html folder, exposing the entire database to anyone who put the URL into a browser.1 vote -
When we Copy live site to staging, exclude Users' email addresses from the search and replace.
I didn't know it would replace all the email addresses when the site was copied, so I couldn't log in with my email address and had no idea why.

Amendment to LiquidWeb Static Menu caching plugin
I really like the WP static menu caching plugin you have developed https://github.com/liquidweb/wp-static-menus but we need to show a separate menu for logged in users and another for logged out users. We are currently using a plugin to make individual menu items conditional on logged in status and hence the menu caching doesn't work. Can you modify the plugin to allow for logged in / out cache versions? Thanks.
