  1. It would be nice to have the option to create a one-time backup of the staging site for download only so users can have a backup if they need to revert the staging site.

  2. Rather than just vaguely saying there was an issue, it would be really nice to optionally choose to see the exact reason a primary domain has reverted.

If there was an advanced error log that could be seen, that would make it easier to use this platform as a system technician, as opposed to running to the Live Chat any time something goes wrong.

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us. We agree that this would improve the experience and we’re taking it under consideration for a future update. We’ll be sure to post back here with progress notes. Thanks again!

  3. There are a number of steps required before updating a domain for the managed wordpress sites.

If there was some sort of confirmation before updating, that required you to ensure your changes have been made, then people unfamiliar with the process would be able to avoid the issues that come if you pre-emptively change the domain, before the DNS A record has changed for example.

This would also serve as a helper to know what steps are required before updating the domain.

Alternatively the domain change could skip the DNS check as shown here: https://liquidweb.uservoice.com/forums/909214-managed-wordpress/suggestions/33228178-manged-wordpress-allow-primary-domain-changes-wi

  4. The BlogVault plugin being suggested is quite slow, sitting now at 40 minutes to migrate a small site. ManageWP does this within just a few minutes, but I cannot use it to migrate to my managed wordpress hosting because of the database configuration.

Tools like ManageWP are part of our workflows and using an alternate, slower, clunkier method like BlogVault makes it painful to add new clients to the managed hosting

  5. When a new WordPress version is released, it would be nice to know in advance when Liquid Web plans to push it to Managed WordPress sites.

It is inevitable that some sites will require manual tweaks and impossible to predict which sites those might be.

Unlike the plugin updates that have the Visual Comparison, I don't know that there really is a way to do the same for a major version update, so we need to check all our sites. It will take me a couple hours to go through 100 sites, and probably half a day in all after…

  7. Empower us as entrepreneurs by getting WHMCS working on MWP hosting: help us resell YOUR HOSTING by getting either WHMCS or something similar working so that we can send people billing links that provision a basic MWP install with our choice of Stencils. Help us HELP YOU make money. Happy to work on this project, pioneer, beta test, whatever. That would be some next level shit, IMO.

  8. When restoring a site from backup, the url does not display an 'under maintenance' notice, instead it displays a WARNING -UNSAFE notification due to no SSL...this scares people away! How about a different screen when maintenance is under way?

  9. View a report that indicates when core and plugin updates for a website were attempted , completed and or failed. This helps with: /
    i. troubleshooting site issues associated with updates,
ii. selection of backups to restore when a site is not working properly,
iii. determine whether Managed Wordpress plugin and core updates are running as they should (we have a website in our list where the updates do not appear to be running)

This report could be included in an part of an overall report that also displays the site disk storage, etc. (I see this disk storage reporting…

    • Classic Editor
    • Compress JPEG & PNG images

I have been informed by support that these two plugins are not able to be removed from WP and will always sit, deactivated in the WP installation, susceptible to security vulnerabilities even though they are not being used.

  10. We would like a way to be notified when an SSL has failed to renew due to a rate limit and I think you guys should also get notified so you can be aware of this. We have had an app go down and a few other sites go down due to rate limits.

  11. It seems kinda cumbersome to have a bunch of different SFTP logins if you manage a bunch of websites. We should have the ability to have a master one that can access all of the websites on the server.

  12. The plugin add and update feature is useless as a bulk tool because it stops on failures. It should just report on failures, but keep going until it's been through all of them. Instead you have to remove the one that had a failure and run it all again. Very frustrating.

  14. WPMerge in managed woocommerce now. But let's say you copy the live site to staging, then WPMerge thinks both sites are live and now the plugin is useless. There is no easy way to come out of this situation.

  15. I like the 2FA security, but I don't like having to constantly enter it around every corner. Please improve that experience on machines or locations that we use it from regularly. Every server. Every site view. Tickets. Every time, new 2FA if it's been more than a few minutes. Gets old when you're trying to let things run updates and come back, only to find out you're completely logged out of everything again.

  16. I'm migrating 24 sites from LiquidWeb CloudVPS server to a LiquidWeb Managed WordPress server and I'm required to manually create each site one by one on the new MWP server. Ugh. I'm glad I'm not migrating 100 or 500 sites. Let users create many sites on one page by either entering each name and allowing the same email for all sites, or via uploading a simple CSV file with server names, emails and any other info needed. This will save so much time. BTW I'm not using the LiquidWeb migration as I need to do this today not this week.

  17. The backups for each site profile run daily, so I always have a 30 day rolling pool of backups for each site profile to tap if I need them. If I delete a site profile in my MWP interface, I apparently loose all my backups for the profile. This has caused difficulty in the past. Instead, whenever a site profile is deleted in the MWP interface, leave the profile intact, flagged as 'deleted' (maybe shaded or requires an extra click to view) but the backups tab (on the left) remains accessible and as each day passes the number of available…

  18. I was asked to come here, but this is a complaint, I asked for a name or customer services contact that I could speak to after 3 days of frustration.

Being sent to a forum just adds to the frustration.

I have been a vps server customer for several years, paying $100+ a month, for a Wordpress site, I've been forced to upgrade the package several times, through lack of disk space or this reason or that, all of which has felt a bit odd as my site is Wordpress, simple with all media stored on Amazon S3, so why…

  19. Your supoort told me you dont have 2 factor auth possibility when logging into MWP at Liquid.

This is a serious risk, since then it is merely a simple password to get in, and the possibility to damage or destroy the site.

-> I want Liquid to implement a better user management, where you can set up passwords, persmissions etc, for several users aswell as 2 factor auth, to increase security.

I'd regard this as an urgent thing to do
