Send SMS notifications of server problems.
When my server goes down or becomes unavailable, I would like to be able to know about it wherever I am. I always have my phone with me, but I am not always at the computer or in a WiFi zone, or actively monitoring my web site.
If we could be sent an SMS message, we could take some money-saving steps such as pausing our AdWords campaigns.
I am sure it costs money to send SMS messages via the cell service providers around the world, and I would be willing to pay for that.
While we are still working to be able to send SMS notifications for individual server issues, we have added a status page that can send SMS messages if there are any wider issues.
Please see and sign up for Notifications at:
Liquid Web and MWP:
https://status.liquidweb.com/
CloudSites:
https://status.websitesettings.com/,
These include email, SMS, and RSS notification options.

Hello Clint,
Looking at your account, it looks like a network event that we experience yesterday may have caused some issues for your service. I do apologize for any outages.
Issues of this sort are reported at https://status.liquidweb.com/ and https://status.websitesettings.com/, both of which have email, SMS, and RSS notification options. -

You don't really even have to send SMS - just simply OPEN A TICKET automatically if there are server problems.

There are other sites (paid and free: https://hostingfacts.com/website-monitoring-services/) that will monitor uptime and send SMS if something goes down, but I agree that it would be great if Liquidweb themselves provided the service.

Hello,
I'm going to see if we're already working on push notifications, but thank you for the feedback! If you have anything else you'd like to see from us, just let me know!

This should include the ability to get a pushed notification when there is network issues that might affect connectivity or latency.
