We understand this continues to be a high priority feature for Cloud Sites customers and are currently targeting the first half of 2019 for the release of Let’s Encrypt integration.

We will provide more a more specific release date and feature details as we move closer to completion. Thank you for your feedback and patience.

  2. Password reset/username reminder links on white label control panel login

Currently at manage.websitesettings.com there is no way for a sub-account to be able to reset their login information themselves before logging in.
It's pretty essential that end users be able to at least try to use a self-help option before having to contact someone to reset their login info for them.

    Hi all,

I’m very sorry for the inconvenience here. This was something that broke during the transition from Rackspace to Liquid Web. We are aware and it is on our list of things to fix.

In the meantime, while I realize it is far from ideal, the password for the Client Account user can be reset from the main portal at cloudsites.liquidweb.com, under the Accounts tab.

  3. Please provide some level of command line access

Consider supporting some sort of command line access. Not being able to use common developer tools like GIT is a serious limitation.

Thanks so much for the feedback! Can you elaborate on what functions you’re looking to do via command line access?

  4. Cloud Sites API

Rackspace promised us that in the future we will have an API for managing cloudsites/domain creation/configuration. Then the prevision's date did'nt stopped to be reported after and after...

That's a feature some of us are still waiting for.... since... A really long time. What are your prevision about that ?

Thank you very much for the feedback, folks! May I ask what functionality is the most important to you via an API for Cloud Sites?

  5. Implement Git version control

Being able to manage source code via git is an absolutely essential feature. The ability to manage my sites using my bitbucket repositories is crucial.

Thanks so much for the feedback! How would you prefer to see GIT integrated into Cloud Sites, via CLI or CP?

  6. Manage user shell keys

We need user shell key management for GIT deploy, secure sFTP to site files.

Thanks so much for the feedback! Cloud Sites does support SFTP via port 22, no key pairs required. It is an encrypted connection, however it uses basic auth without user keys for authentication.

Currently, Cloud Sites does not support GIT, however, with enough interest, I’d be happy to evaluate adding it to our roadmap.

    Thanks,

  8. Cloudflare SSL Support

Would be great to add support for Cloudflare origin certificates. Now that Google is mandating SSL on all sites, restricting us to paid SSL (or quickly expiring) certificates is unreasonable. Please open up support for more SSL providers.

  9. PHP Curl with HTTP2 Support

Compile lib-curl >=7.46 with http/2 support. This is needed when using some php libraries for sending push notifications to APNs.

It would be a great feature to add.

Thank you for your feedback. I will take this request to our Engineering team so we can discuss it.

Once I have more information I will update everyone here on what I find out about this option.

  10. Improve the Control Panel (Combine CloudSites and Email together Plus bring back Domain Name Renewal)

One of the key elements of the old Rackspace CP was the user was able to control their email accounts all via one Control Panel. Now, they have to login to two different places and that can and will be an issue for clients. Also, bring back the domain controls for renewal and purchase.

I can’t provide any current plans to address these particular items. However, I do want you to know that you have been heard.

I am reviewing all of the items in the Feedback forum and will use that information to help drive many decisions going forward.

We’ve started work on supporting .NET Core 1.1. I anticipate we’ll have something ready to go in production within the next couple of weeks. Thank you for your patience!

  12. Sub-Account Control Panel - Add Sites/FTP users

If you log into websitesettings.com as the Sub-account user, you can no longer add ftp users to any site that you own as a Sub-account admin. You also can no longer add sites to your sub account. Kind of defeats the purpose of subaccounts.

    Hi Jim,
Thanks for the feedback. I completely understand where you are coming from with this request. I am reviewing some options to enhance the functionality of our Client Control Panel.

I will update this thread as I have more information to share.

  13. Disk Space Usage Stats

Disk Space usage is outlined in the Usage section of the panel, but if i drive into a subaccount, disk space usage is no longer shown - even though cycles, bandwidth, etc are. This would be a helpful addition. Further, it would also be great if I could see the usage stats when looking at a site through the Websites section, or at least be provided a link to the correct usage summary screen for that site.

Thanks for the feedback. You should be able to see the disk space usage at the subaccount/client account level. We do not currently have the means to display the disk space usage at the site level.

I do like the idea of having the Usage information more readily available from the Website details page. I am putting this “under review” so we can look into adding that.

    Thanks, Jereme Hancock

  14. Wildcard Certificates

Have clients who have wildcard certificates for their domains, since CloudSites doesn't support wildcard certs we're either needing to buy a new cert or manually generate a lets encrypt cert.

  15. Customizable plans for Client Accounts

The new Cloud Sites control panel is really awesome! I am using Cloud Sites since 2009 when it was known as Mosso (which was then acquired by Rackspace). And probably its the first time I have seen any noticeable update to the control panel. Thumbs up for the Dev team :)

I would also like to take this opportunity to request a few features.

It would be really nice if we could also specify the resource constrains while creating Sub Accounts.

For example , ability to limit Compute Cycles, Bandwidth, Number of My SQL Databases, No of Ms SQL Server…

Thanks so much for the feedback! Our devs worked very hard to get the new Control Panel out in time for the migration of our Rackspace Cloud Sites customer base. I personally feel that it is a very welcome upgrade for the product.

I hope you don’t mind, but I’ve broken out wildcard DNS as a separate idea so that it can gather votes on its own.

  16. Integrated domain registration with site creation

The legacy Cloud Sites control panel had integrated domain registration into the website creation process, including .co.uk domains. In the new control panel domain registration is a separate function and .co.uk domains require a ticket.

Can you please consolidate the functions into the streamlined website creation process as we had before?

    Hi all,

My apologies for the step backwards here. Liquid Web uses a different registrar than we used for Cloud Sites. We’re evaluating our options to provide this functionality in the Cloud Sites Control Panel.

    Howdy Ron,

Thanks so much for the feedback! What level of RBAC are you wanting to see? Are you just wanting the ability to add additional users, or are you wanting further functionality beyond that?

  18. Allow user to set Pagination Prefs

It would be nice to be able to SET that I want to see ALL of my sites at once, and not have to enter the total number of sites, in the "Showing 10 of 39 Sites" text box -- which, frankly, is not very intuitive. Please provide a way to just set it to show all sites, always. Or, don't even bother with pagination, until the website count gets over 100 sites. Paginating 39 sites, is just silly and annoying.

We’ve updated the default to display 50 websites in the website list view.

We’ve also changed the pagination field to allow input variables that exceed the number of sites in the account so you no longer have to put that number in to show all.

Let me know if this helps or if you would still prefer we up the default to 100.

    Thanks!

    Chris

  19. CRON schedule for a specific day of the week

I need to be able to schedule a CRON to run on a specific day of the week, for example, every Monday at 1pm..

Currently the only weekly option is every nth day... this worked when setup initially, but then the next month the job ran on the same dates from the previous month and not on the required day of the week.

Ex. Job was setup on a Thursday to run every 7 days.
    It ran 7th, 14th, 21st, 28 Dec.
    Then is ran 7th, 14th, 21st Jan..

This makes no sense... I need a day/time of the week…

  20. Allow Sub Account users to edit DNS of their websites.

I would like my clients to be able to manage their DNS records in the Sub Account control panel.
